Before your foam party in New Orleans, have four things ready: a flat, cleared space for the foam, a working outdoor outlet within about 100 feet, a garden hose we can connect to, and guests dressed in water shoes and clothes that can get soaked. Our crew handles delivery, setup, running the machine, and takedown.

Foam hides whatever is underneath it, so the ground has to be clean before we start. A foam pit needs about 31 ft x 31 ft of flat ground; loose foam needs roughly a 12-15 ft open zone plus room to run. Move patio furniture, grills, coolers, toys, and hoses out of the area, and check for sprinkler heads, tree roots, pet mess, and low branches. Keep the foam zone clear of steps, decks, fire pits, and the pool.
The machine runs on one standard 110v household outlet, ideally an outdoor GFCI outlet within about 100 feet of the setup spot. We bring the cords we need – you just need to point us at a working outlet and make sure it is not on a breaker that trips when the fridge kicks on. No outlet in range? We can bring a generator; tell us when you book so it comes on the truck.
A regular garden hose connection is all it takes. Check the spigot works and that the hose reaches your setup area before the day of the party – a hose that comes up ten feet short is the single most common day-of problem. If your only spigot is on the far side of the house, tell us in advance.
Our crew carries equipment from the truck to the setup spot, so we need a path. Unlock the gate, clear the side yard, and let us know ahead of time if the only way in is a narrow walkway, a set of stairs, or through the house. A parking spot near the address helps too, especially Uptown and in the Quarter where curb space disappears fast.

Set out a dry bin for phones, glasses, and shoes, and put it well away from the foam. Footwear and adult supervision are the two things that matter most once the machine starts, in line with SIOTO safety practices.
Most backyard parties run one to two hours of foam, which is plenty – kids tire out faster than the machine does. In a New Orleans summer, late morning or late afternoon beats the middle of the day for heat. Plan the foam for the middle of your party so guests arrive dry, play in the foam, then dry off before cake.
Keep pets inside during the party. Give the neighbors a heads up if the foam zone runs near a shared fence. Cleanup is the easy part: the foam breaks down and dissipates on its own, so there is no pile to shovel, and our crew handles takedown. Rinse the patio or driveway afterward so nothing stays slick.
Everything on the foam side – the machine or cannon, the foam solution, the pit if your package includes one, and an attendant who sets up, runs the foam through your event, and packs it all down. You handle the space, the outlet, the hose, and the guest list.
